So loooooong but...
Today, let's talk about the Malaysian Banquet that took place about 2 weeks ago (: on 4th August, Lenardily held their preliminary wedding banquet in Kluang, a small state in Malaysia. Lily's Malaysian relatives and 5 tables of Singaporean relatives and friends were gathered there for a relaxing celebratory lunch. It was only so relaxing because Lily's parents had helped us make all the arrangements including booking of restaurant and planning of seating in Malaysia. Thank God for awesome parents (:
Anyways, that was one enjoyable luncheon and Lenardily sure learnt plenty from it. Here are some pointers we noted to ourselves after having our first taste of being bride and groom:
1. Slow down when you march in.
The spotlight had a hard time chasing us as we marched in at lightning speed. Pictures speak a thousand words.

The only time the spotlight was cast on us. (And do not stand behind a door which opens your way.) |

Spotlight missed. |

Missed again! |
2. Learn to cut a pseudo cake with a big smile.
We were so tickled when we realised we need to draw a vertical line in the air to pretend we are cutting the wedding cake which was really a plastic cake. Remember to smile to look blissful when cutting your fake cake. Pictures speak a thousand words.

Yay! We are going to cut the cake! (Funky Malaysian Emcee behind us.) |

Lenardily: Uhh.. Is that a fake cake? Waiter: Please pretend to cut the cake. |

Cake-cutting in process. |

Yes, we 'cut' our cake! |
3. Grooms, learn how to pop your champagne in style.
In case of emergency, just keep shaking the bottle and laughing.

It's popping, it's popping! (This went on for 5 minutes..) |

Aim at your brother! |

YES, IT FINALLY POPPED! (No brother was hurt during this ceremony.) |
4. Plan and strategise your "Yum Seng" route before you start going table by table.
Tables which you know you will be made to drink more should be kept for the last.

With Lily's second uncle and his family. Super cute girls! (Our first table, note the number of children -wink-) |

The next table. (Note: Many elderlys and they will not make you drink.) |

How our toast with the last few tables look like. Lenard's Singaporean relatives having a Yumming good time. |
Those are all the lessons we can impart after our Malaysian banquet. The rest will have to be experienced on your own, brides and grooms-to-be.
Jokes aside (: We really want to thank all our family members and close friends who have made the luncheon such an enjoyable and electrifying one.

Lenardily made it on 4th August (: |
Thank you, Rachel for being our photographer for the wedding and Randall, for ushering the guests at each table (: Thank you, Nicole and Wenli, my dear sisters, for doing up my hair so beautifully for me. Thank you all of you who had taken the time out to be with us. We love all of you and you are truly a blessing to us. Most importantly, thank You, Father God for making this happen so smoothly that day (:
We also want to thank Dang and Yuhan for picking out the gorgeous additional gown that I wore in Malaysia. Grooms, you can have your suit made by Justmen as seen on Lenard (:
Alright, just a sneak peek:
